Want to get to know someone? Try Googling

Time to talk about the menacing phenomenon of 'googling' people. A few weeks ago I read somewhere that companies are now using Google as a means of finding out more about job applicants. The problem with the internet however is that Google knows everyting... even a lot of personal stuff you never thought be found online. So, how does it work.. You take someones name, enclose it with parentheses and there goes! Party pictures, communities and clubs you belong to and stories about the kind of lazy bastard you are.

For instance, my personality according to Google is somewhat of a heavy metal student alcoholic. Sadly however, those days are gone. I do hope companies using google as a means of applicant screening can look past the private stuff on the web. Elsewise, as a radical conclusion, the only people with jobs in the future will be those that haven't had any fun!

Ok. That's everything I had to say. I have a strange feeling no-one is reading this weblog anymore. This could be just me prattling into cyberspace without any audience! Ouch!
Bye!
